Are you searching for that unique accessory, or cherished gift?
At Bazaar Bargains - Kyrgyzstan we listen to your requests and then do the bazaar-hunting for you to help you find the perfect item, whether a subtle accent rug or a pair of donkey-head felt slippers for your new niece. Our goal is to share the wonders of the bazaar with you, give you an advantage in gift-giving, and introduce the colors and customs of this little-known corner of the world.
To start shopping check out our storefront for ideas, then head to our contact page to tell us exactly what you want. We'll find it, send you pricing and pictures, and then settle the payment.
Bazaar Bargains - Kyrgyzstan is the brainchild of a US PhD student doing research and language study while working with local NGOs in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Family members and friends raved about the quality, color, concept, and color of handmade felt items received over Christmas, and I decided to bring the bazaar to more people's doors.
Whenever possible we work directly with local craftsmen and women to support the local economy. We always buy locally and pay a fair price - never in bulk from big distributors.
